SCHUNK becomes the official sponsor of University of Pisa for the ESA Lunar Robotics Challenge.

SCHUNK, a worldwide operating technology leader, becomes new partner of the Lunatics Team of the University of Pisa. It will provide DC motors for the UNIPI’s vehicle, DAVID, thus allowing advanced actuation system for reliable motion.

During a project meeting that has taken place at SCHUNK’s factory (Hausen, Germany) a few days ago, relevant aspects on the mechanics and dynamics of the motors have been deeply discussed. Various practical issues on the realization of the locomotion system have been solved.
